June 9th, 2018

Congratulations to our newly promoted leaders:
(clockwise from top left) Ben Wilson, Laura Fairbanks, Glen Daly, and Jim Bruneau.

Bargmann Hendrie + Archetype, Inc. (BH+A) is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Fairbanks, and Ben Wilson to Principal, Jim Bruneau to Senior Associate, and Glen Daly to Associate, in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the firm.

Ben Wilson, AIA, LEED AP

Ben brings almost thirty years of experience to our team. His expertise includes design, planning, technical issues, code compliance, construction documents and administration.  He has been a Project Manager on a wide range of projects, recently on many of BH+A’s housing projects including the Manning Apartments, a public elderly/disabled housing development.

Laura Fairbanks

Laura has 17 years of experience at BH+A and has worked on many of our corporate interiors projects, recently on Goodwin, Choate, Bain Capital, Harvard Management, Battery Ventures, Hasbro and others. She is knowledgeable about every facet of programming, design and construction of office spaces. She is the head of the Workplace Team at BH+A and has collaborated with Carolyn Hendrie on virtually every tenant project in the last decade.

Glen Daly, RA, NCARB, CPHC

Glen Daly has over 13 years of experience and brings specific expertise to the team as a Certified Passive House Consultant. He was the project architect for the Herring Cove Beach Facility in Provincetown. The project incorporated the use of solar panels that collected more electrical power than used annually at this facility. Glen also has experience with recreation projects such as the Cormier Center. The building includes program elements such as a welcome center, auditorium, exhibit spaces and classrooms as well as a gymnasium and fitness spaces.

As a Passive House Consultant, Glen brings the building envelope into focus for low energy use or “Zero Net Energy” projects, focusing on windows, walls and roof technologies and detailing to reduce demand loads. Recently he has focused efforts on cost-effective decentralized methods of heat exchange in order to bring fresh air into a project without upsetting the energy balance.

James Bruneau, RA

Jim has sixteen years of experience managing and executing projects through all phases of design and construction including energy-efficient building envelope detailing and creative, sustainable design within budget constraints. He has experience on a wide range of projects with complex design challenges within fast-track project schedules. Two recent BH+A projects Jim has lead involved intense program, outreach and design for community and senior centers: The Falmouth Senior Center Site Feasibility Study and the Randolph Intergenerational Community Center, which focuses on seniors, youth and adult programs.
