Salty Brine Bathhouse

Narragansett, RI

The project includes replacement of an existing wood framed restroom building at the Salty Brine State Beach in Narragansett, RI. Replacement and other site improvements include increasing the size of the existing building and providing heat to the building to provide 3-season use.

Sustainable Design Objectives are to achieve LEED Silver Certification meeting requirements of the State of Rhode Island requirements for new public buildings. Sustainable elements may include energy efficient electrical equipment, daylighting, mini-turbines/ residential scale turbine, photovoltaic panels, water saving plumbing fixtures, renewable energy such as geothermal, solar, and/or wind, solar HW/air for heat and/or hot showers, super insulation of walls and roof.
