Originally built in 1916 as a textile factory, 49 Melcher Street is a 5 story brick and beam mixed-use building located in the heart of the Fort Point Channel in Boston's Seaport District. BH+A renovated the former textile factory including a 240 seat, 11,000 square foot restaurant, which occupies the lower level and first floor of the building. The upper floors feature 21 modern, luxury style lofts and one of Boston's most popular French restaurants, Bastille Kitchen. The Lofts at 49 Melcher are steps from the bustling Financial District, thriving Seaport District, South Station MBTA and Amtrak, and all other major transportation.
